When your target server is SAP ASE, you can use the SAP ASE Segment dialog to add and specify the parameters for a segment.
To open the SAP ASE Segment dialog, on the Database menu, select Segments.
The SAP ASE Segment dialog includes the following tabs:
Displays all available segments in the current model.
Opens the New Segment dialog and add a segment name.
Opens the Rename Segment dialog and change the name of the selected segment.
Deletes the selected segment.
Starts the Complete Compare task so you can synchronize the physical storage objects defined in your model with the information stored on the server.
Note: Once you add a segment on SAP ASE, you can associate tables with it using the Tables dialog. Although you can enter a name for a new segment and view the names of existing segments in the SAP ASE Segment dialog, you cannot generate a segment using erwin Data Modeler. To generate a segment to SAP ASE, you must use the sp_addsegment stored procedure.
