Define DB2 LUW Wrappers

Use the DB2 for LUW Wrapper Editor to define information for the DB2 LUW Wrapper.

To define a DB2 wrapper

  1. Right-click a Wrapper in the Model Explorer and select Properties.

    The DB2 for LUW Wrapper Editor opens.

  2. Select a wrapper name and work with the following options:

    Note: Click New New icon in property editors to create a new object on the toolbar to create a wrapper. Use the Enter filter text text box to filter a large list of names to locate the one you want to work with.

    Name

    Specifies the name of the wrapper.

    Type

    Specifies the type of the wrapper. Select from the drop-down list; valid values are Relational and Non Relational.

    Library Path

    Specifies the name of the wrapper library module.

    Generate

    Specifies whether or not to generate DDL for this object during Forward Engineering.

  3. Click the Option tab to work with or create LUW wrapper options.

    Wrapper options are used to configure the wrapper or to define how DB2 uses the wrapper.

    Name

    Specifies the name of the wrapper option.

    Value

    Specifies the setting for the wrapper option.

  4. (Optional) Click the Comment tab and enter any comments that you want to associate with the object.
  5. (Optional) Click the UDP tab to work with user-defined properties for the object.
  6. (Optional) Click the Notes tab to view and edit user notes.
  7. Click Close.

    The new wrapper is saved and the DB2 for LUW Wrapper Editor closes.
