Define DB2 LUW User Mappings

You use the DB2 for LUW User Mapping Editor to define a mapping between a user ID and a specific federated server. If you are using the same user ID and password to connect to the federated database and to access the remote data source, you need not create a user mapping.

To define DB2 user mappings

  1. Right-click a User Mapping in the Model Explorer and select Properties.

The DB2 for LUW User Mapping Editor opens.

  2. Select a user mapping name and work with the following options:

Note: Click New New icon in property editors to create a new object on the toolbar to create a user mapping name. Use the Enter filter text text box to filter a large list of names to locate the one you want to work with.

    Server

Specifies whether or not to generate DDL for this object during Forward Engineering.

  3. Click the User Mapping Options tab to indicate the options that are enabled when the user mapping is created.
