Add an Attribute Definition
You use the Definition tab in the Attribute Editor to enter a definition for a selected attribute. The definition serves as internal documentation for your model. In a logical/physical model, or when you derive a physical model from a logical model, the definition migrates to the physical side as a comment.
To add an attribute definition
- Right-click the entity that contains the attribute to which you want to add a definition and click Attribute Properties.
The Attribute Editor opens.
- Select the attribute name in the Navigation Grid for which you want to add a definition and click the Definition tab.
- Enter or edit the definition text for the attribute. Use the toolbar to cut, copy, or paste text, open the Text Editor, or check spelling.
- Click Close.
The attribute definition is saved and the Attribute Editor closes.
