Define Teradata Display Format Options

You can use the Teradata Display Format Editor to create server display formats to associate with columns in a Teradata physical model.

To define Teradata display format options

  1. Click Target-Teradata, Display Formats on the Model menu.

    The Teradata Display Format Editor opens.

  2. Select a display format and work with the following options:

    Note: Click New New icon in property editors to create a new object on the toolbar to create a new display format. Use the Enter filter text text box to filter a very large list of display formats to quickly locate the one you want to work with.

    Name

    Specifies the name of the display format.

    Value

    Specifies the display format value.

    Generate

    Generates DDL for this object during Forward Engineering.

  3. (Optional) Click the Comment tab and enter any comments that you want to associate with the object.
  4. (Optional) Click the UDP tab to work with user-defined properties for the object.
  5. (Optional) Click the Notes tab to view and edit user notes.
  6. Click Close.

    The Teradata Display Format Editor closes.
