View Pinned Reports

Use the Pinned Reports option to "pin" any of the default Crystal Reports (.rpt) so that they are available at all times. After you install CA ERwin Data Modeler, the Pinned Reports menu option is pre-populated with common reports. Futher, Pinned reports are available in the Report Designer as well.

To view the list of available pinned reports, click Tools, Pinned Reports. Pinned reports are available for CA ERwin DM and Mart. To view the pinned reports in the Report Designer, click the Open pinned report from disk option on the toolbar.

To add more reports, copy the .rpt file of the report you want to either of the directories shown in the following example, as it applies to your operating system:

Windows XP

C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\CA\ERwin Data Modeler\9.0

Windows 7

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\CA\ERwin Data Modeler\9.0

Note: You can only pin Crystal Reports (.rpt) reports to this menu.

Pinned Reports in the Report Designer

These reports are segregated into categories and each category of reports is available in a separate folder. You can create a folder of your own add the reports of your choice to it.

The following folder includes the pinned reports:

Windows XP

C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application Data\CA\ERwin Data Modeler\9.6\Configuration\Report Solutions\

Windows 7

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\CA\ERwin Data Modeler\9.6\Report Solutions

Reports that are copied directly under this folder do not appear in the Pinned Reports dialog. The reports must be in a subfolder under this folder.
