View Expanded Code in a Property Editor

The Expanded tab appears on selected physical object property editors to display fully expanded code that may be shown as code fragments or partial routines on other tabs. This is useful when you have to edit the code.

To view expanded code in a property editor

1. Open the property editor for the physical object for which you want to view expanded code and click the Expanded tab.
2. Click an icon on the toolbar to copy selected text or to open the Text Editor to work with the code.

   For table-level objects, the following drop-down list appears above the expanded code:

   Context

   Lists all the tables, views, and materialized views (for target databases that support materialized views) available in the model. Select an object from the drop-down list to change the display of the expanded code. This feature allows you to see how the code is generated for the selected object.

3. Click Close.

   The property editor closes.
