Use Unique Naming Options

When you attempt to create a duplicate name a warning message appears. Because a preference in the Model Naming Options was set to "Ask" you can choose any of the following options:

OK

Accept the duplicate name.

Cancel

Cancel the action and close the dialog.

Rename

Generate a new name. When a new name is generated, a forward slash is appended to the end of the name to indicate that the name has been used in the model and a number is added to indicate how many times the name has been used.

Enter a new name

Enter a new name in the text box for the object you just created.
