Display Schema Generation Options

Use the options on the Summary tab in the Schema Generation dialog to display each schema generation option you select for the target server.

To display schema generation options

  1. On the Actions tab, click Schema.

    The Forward Engineer Schema Generation Wizard opens.

  2. Click the Option Selection tab.
  3. Select an Option Set or click Open to use an option set you saved as an XML file.

    Your selections are applied to the schema generation options.

  4. Click the Summary tab to view schema generation options based on the selected option set.
  5. Click Edit Options to change the selected schema generation options.
  6. Click the Preview tab and view the schema DDL script.
  7. Click Generate to start the schema generation process for forward engineering or alter script generation or click OK to save the changes and close the dialog.
