Add a Complete Subtype Relationship

Add a complete subtype relationship in a logical model to connect an entity that defines a category and two or more additional entities that define each of the elements of the category.

To add a complete subtype relationship

1. Click the Complete Subcategory icon in the erwin Toolbox.

   The cursor changes.

2. Click the parent entity in the relationship, then click the first child entity.

   The subtype relationship is created.

3. Click the Complete Subcategory icon in the erwin Toolbox, click the symbol on the relationship, then click another child entity.

   A complete subtype is added.

   Note: Repeat step 3 for each child entity that you want to add as a subtype.
