Draw a Square or Rectangle

Drawing objects enhance the appearance of your model and add meaningful graphic or text annotations. You can add a square or rectangle to your drawing.

To draw a square or rectangle

1. Click Rectangle on the Drawing Objects toolbar and position the pointer where you want to include the square or rectangle on the diagram window.
2. Click the area and drag from the upper left to the opposite end of the square or rectangle. As you drag the mouse, an outline of the square or rectangle displays.
3. Release the mouse button.

You can add consecutive multiple squares or rectangles by pressing the CTRL key before you click on the Drawing Objects toolbar. After you follow the last three steps above, when you click again in the diagram window, another square or rectangle is created.

Note: You can define default settings for drawing objects including color and font settings by applying a theme using the Shape Editor.
