Add an Expression to an Oracle Table or Materialized View Index

You can add a member to an index of an Oracle table or materialized view as expression text.

To add an expression

1. Click Indexes, Table or Indexes, Materialized View on the Model menu to open the appropriate editor to add the expression.

   The Oracle index editor opens.

2. Click the Members tab.
3. Click the next empty cell in the Index Members column and click the New button next to Column/Expression field.

   The New Expression dialog opens.

4. Enter expression text and click OK.

   The New Expression dialog closes and the expression text you entered displays in the Index Members column.

5. Click Close to commit the changes.

   The Oracle index editor closes.
