Immutable: Indicates that the function always returns the same results. The query optimizer pre-evaluates the function. Stable: Indicates that for same arguments, the function returns same results for all rows processed within a single statement. Volatile: Indicates that for same arguments, the function can return different results on successive calls. The function must be evaluated for every input row. |
