Enter a View Comment

Use the Comment tab in the View Editor to enter a comment that describes the function or purpose of the selected view.

To enter a comment for a view

  1. Right-click the view in the Model Explorer for which you want to enter a comment and click Properties.

    The View Editor opens.

  2. Click the Comment tab and enter view comments.

    Note: If your target server supports comments, you can generate comments in the schema DDL script.

  3. Click Close.

    Comments are saved and the View Editor closes.
