Defining Teradata Users Ids

The following properties are applicable to a Teradata User Id object.

Permanent Specifies whether the user is permanent  
Spool Specifies the storage size (in bytes) for the spool files  
Temporary Specifies the storage size (in bytes) allocated for temporary tables  
Collation Specifies the collation value for a Teradata database User ID Available options are: ASCII, EBCDIC, Multinational, Host, Character Set Collation, and JIS Collation

Character Set Type

Specifies the character set type

Available options are: Latin, Unicode, Kanji-Shift JIS, Graphic and Kanji1

Date Form

Specifies the date format

Available values are: Integer, Ansi, and Null.

Default Map Type

Specifies whether a default map is to be associated to the database

Map Name: Indicates that an existing map is associated to the database

Null: Indicates that a default map is not associated to the database

Override

Specifies whether to use the default map when an error occurs with the MAP clause in the statement

On Error: Indicates that the default map is used

Not On Error: Indicates that the default map is not used

Default Database

Specifies the default database for the user

 

Default Role Type

Specifies the default role type

Role: Indicates that the default role is assigned

None: Indicates that no user roles are assigned

All: Indicates that all user roles, including nested roles, are enabled

Default Role

Specifies the default role

You cannot assign a role as default if Default Role Type is None or All.

Fallback Protection

Specifies the type of fallback protection for the database

No Fallback: Indicates that a secondary copy of the table is created and stored for protection

Fallback: Indicates that no fallback protection is configured

Profile

Specifies the Teradata profile for this user

 

Startup

Specifies the SQL statements to establish a session environment at logon

 

Time Zone

Specifies the time zone

 

Transform

Specifies the user-defined transform to associate with the user

 

DBA

Specifies whether the user has DBA (Database Administrator) privileges

 

Skew Type

Specifies the skew computation type for the distribution

Default: Indicates that the default computation is used to calculate skew

Constant Expression: Indicates that a constant expression is used to calculate skew

Percent

Specifies whether the skew type defines a percentage of allowable skew

 

Skew Constant Expression

Specifies the expression to use for skew calculation Available when Skew Type is Constant Expression.

Journal

Before Journal Image

Specifies the type of journaling for the before change image

None: Indicates that no journaling is maintained.

Single: Indicates that a single copy journal is maintained for tables with FALLBACK protection.

Dual: Indicates that a DUAL journal is maintained for data tables with FALLBACK protection.

 

After Journal Image

Specifies the type of journaling for the after change image

None: Indicates that no journaling is maintained

Single: Indicates that a single copy journal is maintained for tables with FALLBACK protection.

Dual: Indicates that a DUAL journal is maintained for data tables with FALLBACK protection.

Local: Indicates that the single after-image journal rows for non-fallback data tables are written on the same virtual access module processors as the changed data rows.

Not Local: Indicates that the single after-image journal rows for non-fallback data tables are written on a different virtual access module processors than the changed data rows.
