Dialog for Adding a New Column to a View or Materialized View

When you are in either the Oracle Materialized Views Editor or the Oracle Views Editor at the Select tab, or within the Materialized View Columns Editor, you can add a new column to the materialized view or view. Depending on which editor you are in, when you click the New button, either the New Materialized View Column dialog or the New View Column dialog opens. Enter an alias name in the Alias text box and add expression text in the Expression list box. The alias name is an alias for the new column and the expression is a user-defined expression that is stored as a materialized view column, or view column.
